The fourth, fifth, and sixth grade classes met with Larry Ishee who gave them a tour of the Jones County Courthouse where he explained the judicial system and the importance of voting. THey aslo met with Mayor Melvin Mack who allowed them to sit in on a committee meeting and explained the workings of the city council.

The second grade class conducted a school wide pet food drive to benefit the animals at the Bay Springs Happy, Healthy Pet Adoption Center.
